secretary

Marcelo Terra is the current Secretary of the Lawrence A. Martucci Benefit, Corp. (L.A.M.B). By volunteering at L.A.M.B., Marcelo was looking for a way to bring his family values to an organization that genuinely believed in their purpose. From the first day he met L.A.M.B. founder and current board, he knew that he was part of a team that wanted to make a difference in the people’s lives. L.A.M.B.’s dedication to finding a search for a cure to childhood cancer while supporting and understanding the difficult struggles and decisions that cancer families must make and face during currently available treatments aligned well with Marcelo’s core values.

Marcelo recently moved to Tampa from New York City, but has felt part of a community from the moment he moved. He graduated with a Master’s of Science in Accounting from Western Governor’s university and is currently a candidate for the CPA Exam. While in New York, he partnered with his mother to run a small family-owned tax practice in Queens NY. He currently contributes with Munoz & Company, a CPA firm in Tampa, and Fishman & Co, a CPA firm in NY. He believes in staying connected to your past and learning from that history, and still accepting changes while pushing towards your future. He is the eldest of three boys from immigrant parents and he keeps a strong connection to his cultural upbringings. His family moved from Uruguay to New York when Marcelo was 6. They took advantage and appreciated every opportunity that this change afforded them. His parents instilled a strong work ethic and sense of family that Marcelo hopes to carry forward in his everyday life and dealings both professionally and personally.
